Foi concluída a estação de controle do reservatório 3, que está sendo construído no bairro Santo Antônio, em Guarujá. O serviço integra as obras de macrodrenagem do Rio Santo Amaro, que têm como objetivo a redução expressiva das enchentes naquela região, por meio do armazenamento de mais de 10 milhões de litros de água.
Nessa estação de controle, ficarão as válvulas flap, que serão abertas e fechadas de acordo com a quantidade de chuvas e o aumento da maré. O projeto completo prevê a construção de três reservatórios controlados por comportas, reconstrução de canais, obras de drenagem, pavimentação, calçadas, guias e sarjetas.
No reservatório 1, está sendo executado o acesso à estação de controle e, no reservatório 2, é realizada escavação. Os investimentos são de R$ 77,5 milhões do Ministério do Desenvolvimento Regional (MDR), por meio do Programa Avançar Cidades.
O secretário municipal de Infraestrutura e Obras, Mauro Braga, explica que o maior objetivo é fazer com que as chuvas intensas não afetem mais o bairro. “Para isso, estamos com a atenção e sensibilidade voltadas aos moradores do Santo Antônio. O conjunto de intervenções proposto inclui um sistema de proteção contra inundações, ampliação da capacidade dos canais e galerias existentes, associado a um sistema de proteção dos efeitos da maré”, afirma.
O projeto
De acordo com o projeto, os piscinões ficarão no final de cada canal, próximos ao Rio Santo Amaro e, entre eles, haverá um dique de proteção. O serviço de macrodrenagem é o maior realizado na Baixada Santista neste momento.
Dados da Secretaria Municipal de Planejamento (Seplan) apontam que as obras vão beneficiar 13.665 pessoas que vivem nessa região. O Santo Antônio é um dos bairros mais populosos de Guarujá. Sua área totaliza 1,24 km², sendo que 92% estão ocupados.
